One of the major attractions of creating artwork is the ability to produce something that carries an emotional resonance with a person. I have noticed that nothing resonates with people quite so well as the portrait, whether it serves as a reminder of the past or a celebration of the present.

One of the downsides of creating artwork is the inability to give this opportunity to a broad range of people. I’ve often spoken with people who would like to commission a portrait but cannot afford one. This left me with a question: how can I create high quality, original artwork for people at a price most can afford?

My answer is called “limited Sketch.” From now until ~~October 2, 2011~~ October 5, 2011 I will be accepting the first 50 commissions for an 11×14 portrait charcoal sketches for only $349.00, including frame and shipping. All commissioned sketches will be mailed by December 10, 2011 and will come to you ready for hanging.

The normal cost of an 11×14 portrait sketch is $875.00, which means that you can receive the same high quality, original sketch you would expect from me at a fraction of the usual price.
